Question: If someone made nathr to fast tomorrow, and then missed it, what should he do?

Answer: He should make Qadaa' (make it up another time).

Question: If someone made a nathr and died before performing it, what is done by his relatives?

Answer: If it was a valid nathr and he had made a Wasiyyah (testament) to fulfil it, then his relatives should pay an amount of money from the third of his wealth after he is dead.

Question: If someone promises his son a car if he succeeds in his exam as a nathr, is this considered a valid nathr?

Answer: This is not a nathr. There are 3 prerequisites for a valid nathr:

1) It should be from a Wajib Kind of action, like prayer, fasting, Sadaka, not like e.g. visiting a specific sick person.
2) It should be an aim in itself, i.e. one can not make nathr to take wudu because wudu is not done for itself; we do wudu for praying.
3) It should not be wajib in itself; one can not make nathr to pray Thuhr because it is already wajib.
