Answer: A mashraf is a village near rural areas or any village between the Arabian peninsula and Levant. Mashaarif (plural of mashraf) may more specifically refer to a group of villages in Yemen. Mashrafi, on the other hand is the relative noun for either mashraf or mashaarif, meaning from or of mashram, or from or of mashaarif in the same sense as you would say America and American.
