Abdul Aziz asked: I follow Hanafi Fiqh. My wife and I have some assets. We wish to write a will according to Hanafi Fiqh to distribute our assets to children. Is it Islamic to give each child equal share of our asset? If not, how should we distribute it according to Islamic Hanafi Fiqh?

Answer: This entirely depends on who is alive at the time of your deaths. It is not possible to give a general answer to this. Perhaps you could state that you want your inheritors to get their shate based on the Hanafi school?
